How Your Subconscious Mind Rules It All
Hey Hey Hey!
Have you ever set a brand new goal… only to fizzle out a few weeks later? Ummm. yeah…duh. I think we all have!
Here’s the thing: Whenever the fizzle happens, it is usually (as in, like…always) because those goals aren’t actually aligned with your values/beliefs. Yep, I said it. Before you stop reading this because you think it’s a load of BS, hear me out.
You may think that your goals and your values/beliefs are lined up–and they may be on a conscious level. But…go a bit deeper and you may quickly realize that your goals and your subconscious mind are not aligned. And let me tell you a little secret: What your subconscious mind thinks is Queen. It is what rules and produces the outcomes in your life, whether you like those outcomes or not.
So…How do you know if they are not aligned?
It goes like this: Think about your self talk. What are the things you say to yourself in those moments of frustration, sadness, anxiety and the like? What we say to ourselves (or to others about ourselves) in those moments is what our subconscious mind really thinks. (It’s true! Read that last sentence again!)
*ONLY* when we can align our subconscious thoughts with our goals can we achieve the life we want. It takes some effort to change our self talk, but it can absolutely be done. After all, changing our self talk to something more helpful, changes the choices we make, which alters the actions we take, which THEN determines the outcomes we want! (That is Key! Read that last sentence again, too!)
—>Here’s a real life example: Tis the season for new fitness goals, right?
If we want to start exercising or “eat right”, but we haven’t been able to stick with it, why is that? One possibility is that although our conscious mind may be crystal clear that we want to exercise consistently, our subconscious mind (the QUEEN) was conditioned over years and years to believe, “I’m just not able to stick with an exercise/nutrition plan; I’ve never been able to do that.”
See what I mean? The QUEEN Subconscious thoughts are going to win out. Every. Single. Time. Hands-down.
Don’t like the outcomes you are getting? Ya gotta rewind back to your self talk, y’all.
If you don’t hear anything else, hear this: If you are experiencing a block in achieving goals, it’s probably NOT because you lack the talent or abilities. And it is likely NOT because you are slacking or lazy. So, be kind to yourself! It is ALL ABOUT what you really think about yourself. You might already know on some level that you are a pretty awesome person, but what you tell yourself in the darker moments can tell you so much about what you really think. And THAT, my friend, is what needs to change in order to get the life you want.
It’s easier said than done, but it CAN ABSOLUTELY be done. You can go at it alone, reading self-help books and trying new strategies to change your thinking. That’s not wrong or bad, but can take a lot of trial and error and a whole lot of self-efficacy to make those changes.
SO…why not let ME help you! I have made huge changes in my own self talk over the last five of years, but the VAST MAJORITY of my changes happened only when I started working with my life + career coach. I learned and grew so massively that now I am passionate about helping women achieve the life they want, too. And it starts right here with our self talk.
Want more information? Shoot me an email and we can set up a free initial call to talk it out.
And HEADS UP!!! I am looking for FIVE ready-to-own-their-life women to join me in the next Her Rising Coaching Group, starting on March 4th, 2021. If you want more info, hit me up! I am SOOOO excited for this next group and all the aligning that I know will happen!
